An International Cooperation Agency of the Association of Netherlands Municipalities visited the Center for Local Governance on Sunday, September 15, 2019. The delegation led by Dr. Neila Akrimi, Director Strategies and Development held meetings with the Secretary General Dr. Zahir Othman and by extension the members of the research and training departments. Discussions went through various areas of specialization as well as the scope of services provided by the two institutions. A mutual agreement was expressed about shared areas of interest that could help to build a collaboration channel for knowledge exchange and benefit both institutions in various fields. It was further discussed that activities in research, training, and advisory projects could potentially be developed and delivered as a joint-effort between CLG and the VNG international branch, its regional branch CLIG, and its academic branch Hague Academy.
