Marie Zweynert heads the Center’s research department, which oversees all independent and advisory-based research activities. She is a public policy specialist with main research interests in policy analysis, urban and regional governance, public sector innovation and sustainability. Prior to joining the Center, Marie worked at the Thomson Reuters Foundation in London as a researcher and led multiple research projects including a research at Deutsche Post DHL on the credibility of the company’s corporate social responsibility program, the yearly policy report on Algeria for the European Commission, and a research project on governance of urban climate change adaptation in Arab Gulf cities. Marie holds a joint MSc in Public Policy and Human Development from the Graduate School of Governance of Maastricht University and United Nations University, from which she graduated with the highest distinction and as one of the top three students.
